VMG has expanded its fleet handling capabilities with the addition of a new 300-tonne travelift, further reinforcing the shipyard’s position as a leading facility for superyacht refit and repair in the Mediterranean.
The new equipment joins VMG’s existing fleet of lifting machinery, giving the shipyard the flexibility to handle a wider range of vessel sizes simultaneously — from routine maintenance jobs to large-scale refit projects. Combined with VMG’s 76,800 m² of hardstanding and dedicated indoor workspaces, the addition significantly increases operational capacity across the yard.
The investment reflects VMG’s ongoing strategy to expand its infrastructure in line with growing demand from shipowners across the region. Located just 13 nautical miles from Valencia and with excellent connections throughout Europe, VMG has seen a steady increase in projects since its founding in 2020.
“Investing in equipment like this travelift isn’t just about capacity — it’s about giving every owner the confidence that we have the right tools and expertise to handle their vessel, whatever the scope of the project,” said a member of the operations team.
The new travelift is now fully operational and already in use across several ongoing projects at the shipyard.
