REFIT & REPAIR VALENCIA, S.L. is currently making an innovative investment to substantially improve energy efficiency at its shipyard in the Port of Sagunto by implementing a shiplift for lifting large vessels, the ultimate goal of which is to reduce the carbon footprint of its industrial processes by maximizing the versatility and sustainability of the facility.
At the same time, a new esplanade is being adapted for yacht repairs, including the management of the collection, treatment and reuse of water from boat washing, solid and special waste through a new purification system and underground rainwater retention tanks.
The execution of the project is motivated by the desire and commitment of the group to turn the shipyard into one of the most self-sufficient and environmentally friendly and caring in the Mediterranean.
This initiative is part of the INNCODIS Tractor Project, led by PYMAR and NAVANTIA and financed by the European Union within the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. The objective of this plan is the development of an innovative industrial ecosystem for a competitive, diversified and sustainable naval sector.
